Big Updates and New Signing
Many teams have traded their players to make a strong squad. St Lucia Kings have picked IPL winner Tim David as their first-round choice for 2025. However, they will miss the service of Faf du Plessis as he preferred to play in The Hundred for Southern Brave.
In contrast, Moeen Ali has skipped The Hundred to play in the CPL 2025. Guyana Amazon Warriors signed him along with experienced Imran Tahir. Imran will lead Guyana Amazon Warriors for this season.
Trinbago Knight Riders improved their bowling department by bringing Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir and Usman Tariq.
Meanwhile, the Falcons picked Imad Wasim and Shakib Al Hasan. Notably, Shakib has the record for the best bowling figure in CPL history.
Another exciting new signings are New Zealand’s Bevon Jacobs for the Falcons and Glenn Phillips for the Amazon Warriors. Tim Seifert and Colin Munro will stay with Kings and TKR, respectively.
In this edition, teams must include at least 1 player from the West Indies Breakout League. It will help youngsters to show their talents to impress selectors.
