The biggest festival of women’s cricket, the ICC Women’s World Cup, will start with co-hosts India Women and Sri Lanka at Barsapara Stadium on September 30. Ahead of the tournament, teams used warm-up fixtures to fine-tune their preparations. 

The warm-ups began on September 25, and the opening day is complete. On September 25 India A beat New Zealand Women by 4 wickets and England defeated India by 153 runs, while South Africa vs Bangladesh and Sri Lanka vs Pakistan were both abandoned due to rain.

A total of eight warm-up matches are being played across four venues in the host countries.

These venues are:

  • BCCI Centre of Excellence 2, Bengaluru (India)
  • R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo (Sri Lanka)
  • Colombo Cricket Club Ground, Colombo (Sri Lanka)
  • BCCI Centre of Excellence 1, Bengaluru (India)
