Australia A declared their innings on 532 runs for the loss of six wickets on the second day. The Nathan McSweeney-led side won the toss and elected to bat on the first day. Sam Konstas and Campbell Kellaway opened the innings for Australia A. They added 198 runs for the first wicket before Kellaway departed after scoring 88 runs off 97 deliveries.

Skipper McSweeney joined Konstas in the middle after Kellaway’s departure. Konstas scored 109 runs off 144 deliveries before he was dismissed in the 45th over. McSweeney was already out in the 41st over, and Australia A lost the wicket of Oliver Peake in the 48th over. It looked like India A was back in the game; however, Cooper Connolly and Liam Scott didn’t let the India A bowlers dominate.

Connolly made 70 runs off 84 deliveries and was dismissed a few minutes before the first day was over. Australia A finished with 337 runs for the loss of five wickets on day 1. Harsh Dubey was the pick of the bowlers for India A on the first day and took three wickets. Gurnoor Brar and Khaleel Ahmed picked up one wicket each on Day !.

Josh Philippe Took Australia A Over The 500-run Mark With His Century

On day 2, Scott returned to bat, along with Josh Philippe by his side. The duo added 81 runs for the sixth wicket. Brar dismissed Scott for 81 runs off 122 deliveries. This allowed Xavier Bartlett to join Philippe in the middle. The duo batted aggressively from this point.

They had a partnership of 118 runs for the seventh wicket off just 62 deliveries. Philippe remained unbeaten on 123 runs off 87 deliveries and hit 18 fours and four sixes. Bartlett hit 39 runs off 24 deliveries, including five fours and two sixes. Australia A declared their innings on 532 runs for the loss of six wickets in 98 overs. Brar took the only wicket on the second day.
