How the Australia One-Day Cup 2025-26 Points Table Works

Queensland tops the points table, having earned 4 points after winning their first match of the tournament. Here is a simple breakdown of how teams will earn points after winning a game.

  • Winning teams will earn 4 points.
  • If the match ends in a tie, no result, or is abandoned, both teams will receive 2 points each without changing NRR.
  • A bonus point is given to a team if they win with a run rate at least 1.25 times higher than their opponent. For the team batting second to claim this bonus point, they must win within the 40th over or the equivalent 80% of reduced overs.
  • If teams are tied on points, their positions are decided by net run rate (NRR).

Format Of Australia One-Day Cup 2025-26

Each team will play 7 matches in this tournament group stage. Since there are 6 teams, each team will face 3 teams once and 2 other teams twice, resulting in a total of 7 matches per team in the group stage.

The group stage will run from September 16, 2025, to February 21, 2026. After all group matches, the two teams with the highest points qualify for the final, which will be played on February 28, 2026.
