1. Meg Lanning: 45-ball century

Meg Lanning holds the record for the fastest century in women’s One Day International (ODI) cricket, scoring 100 runs off just 45 balls. She achieved this feat at the North Sydney Oval in Sydney during the 2012 series between Australia Women and New Zealand Women.

Lanning opened the batting and smashed 103 runs from 50 balls, including 18 fours and three sixes, with an outstanding strike rate of 206. Her century helped Australia chase down the target of 178 runs with nine wickets in hand. 

2. Smriti Mandhana: 50-ball century

Smriti Mandhana scripted history on 20 September 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium by smashing the fastest ever ODI century for India. She scored her 13th century off just 50 balls against the India-Australia women in the 3rd ODI. Her sensational inning is now the second-fastest hundred in women’s ODI, just behind Meg Lanning.

Smriti scored 125 runs off only 63 balls while India was chasing the daunting target of 413. She reached 100 with a sweeping six off Alana King and equalled Suzie Bates as the 2nd-highest century in this format.

3. Beth Mooney: 57-ball century

One of Australia’s successful captains, Beth Mooney, delivered a phenomenal performance for the Australian women in the third ODI against the Indian women. She joined Karen Rolton as the third fastest century in women’s ODI history off just 57 balls. She became the 2nd-fastest ODI centurion, but Smriti scored a century in the same game off just 50 balls and surpassed her in just a few hours.

Batting at No. 4, Mooney scored 138 from 75 deliveries with 23 boundaries and 1 six, helping Australia post a mammoth 412—their joint-highest ODI total.

4. Karen Rolton: 57-ball century

Karen Rolton is the 3rd-fastest joined centurion in women’s ODIs, scoring a breathtaking 100 off just 57 balls for Australia Women against South Africa Women at Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln, during the 2000 Women’s World Cup.

Chasing 170 runs, Rolton smashed 18 fours and reached her hundred off only 57 deliveries. She brought up her fifty in 36 balls and helped Australia win comfortably with 25 overs to spare.

5. Sophie Devine: 59-ball century

New Zealand’s greatest female batter, Sophie Devine, scored a century in just 59 balls against Ireland Women at The Vineyard, Dublin, in 2018, marking the 4th-fastest ton in women’s ODI history.

Opening the innings, Devine smashed 13 fours and 6 sixes. Her explosive knock helped New Zealand post a massive total of 418, as Ireland had no answers to Devine’s skillful onslaught. She finished her inning with 108 off 61. 

6. Chamari Athapaththu: 60-ball century

Chamari Athapaththu produced one of the greatest knocks for Sri Lanka Women by scoring a century off just 60 balls against New Zealand Women at Galle International Stadium in 2023. It was the 5th-fastest ton in women’s ODI history and the quickest ever by a Sri Lankan batter.

She was unbeaten at 140 in 80 balls as Sri Lanka chased down 196 with ease, clinching their first-ever bilateral ODI series win against New Zealand. Athapaththu’s innings included a fifty in 31 balls and a match-winning partnership with Nilakshi de Silva. 

7. Maddy Green: 62-ball century

Maddy Green is in 7th place with the century off just 62 balls against Ireland Women at Claremont Road, Dublin, in 2018. Batting at No. 3, she scored 122 runs off 77 deliveries, including 15 fours and a six.

Her explosive innings was a key component in New Zealand’s record-breaking team total of 491/4, the highest ever in women’s ODIs score. This century was Green’s maiden international ton and marked her rise as a key middle-order batter for New Zealand, contributing to a record-breaking 347-run win. 

8. Nat Sciver-Brunt: 66-ball entury

Nat Sciver-Brunt lit up the game with a blazing century for England Women against Sri Lanka Women in 2023 at Uptonsteel County Ground, Leicester. She scored a rapid 66-ball hundred, the fastest century by an England woman in ODIs.

In this innings, she made 120 runs off 74 balls, including 18 boundaries. Her knock was a key factor in England’s imposing total of 273/8 in a 31-over match and led them to a dominant 161-run victory. 

9. Maia Lewis: 68-ball century

Maia Lewis played a memorable innings for New Zealand Women against Pakistan Women at Hagley Oval, Christchurch, in the 1997 series. She scored a brilliant century off 68 balls, which stands as one of the fastest centuries by a New Zealand woman in ODIs.

In this match, Lewis scored 105 runs from 72 deliveries that anchored New Zealand to a massive total of 455/5. New Zealand won the match by a staggering 408 runs, which remains the largest victory margin in women’s ODI history. 

10. Charlotte Edwards: 70-ball Century

In this list, Charlotte Edwards came in the top 10 position with a fantastic innings for England Women against New Zealand Women in the 2011/12 season at Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln. She scored a century off 70 balls and scored an inning with 137 runs in 88 balls.
