Dasun Shanaka holds the record for the most ducks in T20 International (T20I) cricket history with 14 ducks. Despite this unwanted record, Shanaka has been a crucial player for Sri Lanka, scoring 1623 runs at an average of 20.54 with a strike rate of 123.70.

As an all-rounder, he has also taken 39 wickets at an average of 22.87 in T20Is. He reached this unique record during the Asia Cup 2025, where he was dismissed for a duck against Pakistan, marking his 14th such instance. 

2. Kevin Irakoze: 13 Ducks 

Kevin Irakoze is a Rwandan cricketer known for his all-round capabilities. In T20 Internationals, he has played 75 matches and batted in 56 innings, scoring 478 runs with an average of 10.17.

Despite his relatively modest batting stats, Irakoze holds an unfortunate record of 13 ducks in his T20I career, the 2nd most ducks in T20I cricket history. He also holds the record for most golden ducks (out on the first ball) in T20Is with 9 such dismissals. Alongside his batting, Kevin is an effective bowler, having taken 74 wickets in T20Is.

3. Zappy Bimenyimana: 13 Ducks

Zappy Bimenyimana is a right-handed batting all-rounder and right-arm medium bowler representing Rwanda in T20 Internationals. He is in the 3rd position with 13 ducks in T20Is.

6. Paul Stirling: 13 Ducks 

Paul Stirling is the greatest batter of Ireland in T20Is and ODIs. He holds the record for most runs in both the limited-overs format for Ireland and ODIs.

Kevin O’Brien follows his teammate Paul Stirling with 12 ducks in 110 matches. He has played 110 T20 International matches and scored 1,973 runs at an average of 21.21 with a strike rate of 130.92.

He has 1 century and five half-centuries in T20Is, with a highest score of 124. O’Brien is also effective with the ball, having taken 58 wickets in T20Is. 

8. Chaloemwong Chatphaisan: 12 Ducks 

Chaloemwong Chatphaisan is a Thai cricketer who plays as a right-handed batsman and right-arm offbreak bowler. In T20 Internationals, he has played 47 matches with 45 innings.

In only 45 innings, he has been dismissed 12 times without scoring a run. He has scored 601 runs at an average of 14.30 and a strike rate of 100.16, with a highest score of 70 not out and two half-centuries. 

9. Rohit Sharma: 12 Ducks

Rohit Sharma, one of the greatest white-ball cricketers and a former T20I captain, also has 12 ducks in his impressive career. Rohit has played 159 T20I matches, scoring 4,231 runs at an impressive average of around 32.05.

 10. Daniel Anefie: 11 Ducks 

Daniel Anefie is in number 10 after getting 11 ducks in his short T20I career. Ghanaian has only played 36 T20I matches, scoring 246 runs with a batting average of 10.69 and a strike rate of 108.37.
