The 91st season of the Ranji Trophy got underway on October 15. A total of 38 teams are participating in the tournament. These teams have been divided into two categories. A total of 32 teams are a part of the Elite category, while the remaining six teams are in the plate category.

A total of four batters have scored a double-century so far in the tournament. Lalit Yadav of Goa and Sanat Sangwan and Ayush Doseja of Delhi reached the 200-run mark on day three. Sagar Udeshi, Dharmendrasinh Jadeja, and Vishu Kashyap picked seven wickets each for their teams.

In the plate category, the match between Meghalaya and Mizoram has been delayed due to rain. Bihar has defeated Arunachal Pradesh by an innings and 165 runs. Sakib Hussain of Bihar picked a total of 10 wickets in the match and registered his best bowling figures in first-class cricket.

Goa vs Chandigarh

At lunch on day three, Chandigarh scored 113 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Punjab vs Madhya Pradesh

Ayush Loharuka scored a double-century on the second day and was dismissed after scoring 226 runs. Bihar declared their innings on 542 runs for the loss of nine wickets. At stumps on day two, Arunachal Pradesh has scored 94 runs for the loss of three wickets. Techi Neri and Abhinav Singh had a partnership of 121 runs for the fifth wicket for AP. Techi made a century, while Abhinav scored 56 runs. AP got bundled out for 272 runs and lost the match by an innings and 165 runs.
