Round two of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 was concluded on October 28. The trio of Services, Haryana, and Bengal have won their first two matches in the tournament and are in Elite Group C. Services have 13 points to their name, which is the highest among all teams in the Elite Groups. Sanat Sangwan of Delhi is the leading run-scorer in the tournament. He has made 347 runs in four outings, including a double-century and two half-centuries. Auqib Nabi of Jammu and Kashmir is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament and has taken 17 wickets in two games at an average of 9.35.

Mizoram and Bihar are in the first two places in the Plate category and have eight points to their names. Manipur and Meghalaya have earned four points and are in the next two places. Sikkim has two points, while Arunachal Pradesh is yet to earn a point. Gurinder Singh is the highest run-scorer in the Plate category and has amassed 340 runs in two games. Sakib Hussain has taken 10 wickets and is the leading wicket-taker in the Plate category.

Elite category
Andhra vs Baroda
The match between Andhra and Baroda ended in a draw. The match didn’t start after the lunch break on day two. The match didn’t start due to rain on day three and four. Baroda scored 363 runs in their first innings, with the help of a century from Vishnu Solanki. Atit Sheth and Mahesh Pithiya scored a half-century each. Andhra made 43 runs for the loss of two wickets.
Bengal vs Gujarat
Bengal defeated Gujarat by 141 runs and remains undefeated in the tournament. Shahbaz Ahmed took a total of nine wickets and won the Player of the Match award.
Assam vs Services
The match between Assam and Services got over on day two only, and it was one of the shortest games in Ranji Trophy’s history. Services won the match by eight wickets. Arjun Sharma picked up five wickets in the first innings and four wickets in the second. He won the Player of the Match award.
Puducherry vs Hyderabad
Hyderabad made 435 runs in their first innings after winning the toss. Rahul Singh was the highest scorer for the team and made a century. Puducherry were bundled out for just 126 runs in their first innings. In their second innings, Puducherry made 97 runs for the loss of five wickets and the match got ended in a no result. Rahul Singh won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance.
Mumbai vs Chhattisgarh
Ajinkya Rahane won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance in the first innings. He made 159 runs and helped Mumbai post a total of 416 runs. Chhattisgarh scored 217 runs in their first innings, and Mumbai forced a follow-on. Chhattisgarh scored 201 runs for the loss of three wickets in the second inning,s and the match ended in a draw.
Uttarakhand vs Railways
Uttarakhand won the match against Railways on the basis of the first innings lead. Railways batted first after winning the toss and made 333 runs before getting all out. Uttarakhand replied with 398 runs in their first innings and earned a lead of 65 runs. Mayank Mishra took six wickets for 84 runs and won the Player of the Match award.
Jammu and Kashmir vs Rajasthan
Jammu and Kashmir defeated Rajasthan by an innings and 41 runs on October 27. Rajasthan made 152 runs in their first innings, and J & K replied with 282 runs in their first innings. Rajasthan were all out for 89 runs in their second innings. Auqib Nabi picked up a total of eight wickets and made a half-century. He won the Player of the Match award.
Tripura vs Haryana
The match got concluded on the second day itself. Tripura were bundled out for 126 runs in the first innings and for 47 runs in the second. Haryana chased down the target of 16 runs in their second innings and won the match by nine wickets. Parth Vats took a total of eight wickets and won the Player of the Match award.
Punjab vs Kerala
Punjab won the toss and scored 436 runs after electing to bat. Harnoor Singh made 170 runs. Kerala replied with 371 runs in their first innings, and Punjab earned a lead of 65 runs. The match ended in a draw, and Punjab won the match because of the first innings lead.
Saurashtra vs Madhya Pradesh
Saurashtra won the toss and elected to bat. They made 260 runs in the first innings. Madhya Pradesh replied with 355 runs for the loss of nine wickets and won the match because of the first innings lead. Yash Dubey made 159 runs off 358 deliveries and won the Player of the Match award.
Karnataka vs Goa
Goa elected to bowl after winning the toss. Karnataka made 371 runs in the first innings with the help of Karun Nair’s 174 runs off 267 deliveries. Goa were bundled out for 217 runs, and Karnataka asked Goa to follow on. Karnataka won the match on the basis of the first innings lead.
Uttar Pradesh vs Odisha
Odisha scored 243 runs in their first innings. In reply, Uttar Pradesh declared their innings on 409 runs for the loss of six wickets. Karan Sharma and Aaradhya Yadav scored a century each. Odisha made 151 runs for the loss of three wickets, and the match ended in a draw. Uttar Pradesh won the match after earning a lead in the first innings.
Nagaland vs Tamil Nadu
Pradosh Ranjan Paul and R Vimal Khumar had a partnership of 307 runs for the second wicket for Tamil Nadu. They helped Tamil Nadu post a total of 512 runs for the loss of three wickets. Nagaland were bundled out for 446 runs, and Tamil Nadu earned a lead. Tamil Nadu won the match, and Ranjan won the Player of the Match award.
Vidarbha vs Jharkhand
Vidarbha elected to bowl after winning the toss. Jharkhand made 332 runs in their first innings. Aman Mokhade and Yash Rathod scored a century for Vidarbha. Vidarbha made 492 runs for the loss of five wickets and won the match on the basis of the lead.
Chandigarh vs Maharashtra
Chandigarh elected to bowl after winning the toss, and Maharashtra made 313 runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a century in the first innings. Chandigarh were bundled out for 209 runs in their first innings. Maharashtra declared their second innings on 359 runs for the loss of three wickets. Chandigrarh was all out for 319 runs and lost the match by 144 runs. Gaikwad won the Player of the Match award.
Delhi vs Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh won the toss and elected to bowl. Delhi were bundled out for 430 runs in their first innings. H & P replied with 297 runs in their first innings, and Delhi earned a lead of 133 runs. In the second innings, Delhi made 209 runs for the loss of four wickets before declaring. H & P scored 168 runs for the loss of two wickets, and the match ended in a draw. Ayush Doseja scored a half-century in both innings for Delhi and won the Player of the Match award.
Plate category
Meghalaya vs Sikkim
Meghalaya won the toss and elected to bowl. Sikkim scored 346 runs in their first innings. Meghalaya replied with 405 runs in their first innings and earned a lead of 59 runs. Sikkim declared their second innings on 303 runs for the loss of seven wickets, and the match ended in a no result. Meghalaya won the match on the basis of the first innings lead.
Manipur vs Bihar
The match between Manipur and Bihar ended in a draw. Manipur batted first and scored 387 runs for the loss of six wickets. The match couldn’t be continued on day three and four. Bihar didn’t get a chance to bat.
Arunachal Pradesh vs Mizoram
Mizoram elected to bowl after winning the toss. Arunachal Pradesh were bundled out for 187 runs in their first innings. Mizoram declared their first innings on 389 runs for the loss of six wickets. AP were bundled out for 144 runs and lost the match by an innings and 58 runs.
