Their 12 qualifying appearances make them the most successful team in this tournament.

England has been another powerhouse, lifting the trophy five times in 1993, 1994, 2003, 2004, and 2008. Their aggressive style of play and consistent team performance helped them stay at the top during the early 2000s. They also finished as runners-up in 1995, 1997, 2002, and 2011.

Australia, India, and the West Indies have each won the title once, in 2010, 2005, and 1996, respectively.
