The second unofficial Test between India A and South Africa started on Thursday, November 6 and is being played at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1 in Bengaluru. South Africa A won the toss and elected to bowl. South Africa made three changes in the playing 11, including the inclusion of Temba Bavuma.

India made a total of eight changes in the playing 11. Kuldeep Yadav, who was released from the T20I squad against Australia, is one of the eight players. Test regulars like KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Devdutt Padikkal, Rishabh Pant, Akash Deep, and Mohammed Siraj are playing this game.

India A lost five wickets for just 86 runs and looked in trouble. Two more wickets fell before India posted 130 runs on the board. Jurel played the rescue act and had a partnership of 79 runs for the eighth wicket along with Kuldeep. Kuldeep batted for 88 deliveries and scored 20 runs.

Dhruv Jurel’s Century Helped India Post a Decent Total

Jurel added 34 runs for the ninth wicket with Siraj. Siraj scored 15 runs off 31 deliveries. Jurel remained unbeaten on 132 runs off 175 deliveries and hit 12 fours and four sixes. 

Tiaan van Vuuren was the pick of the bowlers for South Africa A and took four wickets for 52 runs. Tshepo Moreki and Prenelan Subrayen picked up two wickets each, while Okuhle Cele took one wicket.

At lunch, South Africa A lost three wickets for 76 runs in 25 overs. Akash Deep picked up two wickets, while Siraj took one wicket. Prasidh Krishna came to bowl the over after lunch and took two wickets. At the end of 26 overs, South Africa had made 76 runs for the loss of five wickets. Jordan Hermann and Marques Ackerman are still in the middle.
