The SA20 2025–26 season marks another exciting chapter in South Africa’s premier T20 cricket league. Organised by Cricket South Africa (CSA), SA20 has quickly established itself as one of the most competitive and entertaining franchise leagues in the world.
During the league stage, every team competes in a double round-robin format, facing each opponent twice.

At the end of the league stage, the top four teams qualify for the playoffs, which include Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the Final. How Does The SA20 2025-26 Points Table Work?
Let’s now look at how the SA20 2025-26 points table works.
- The team winning the match will receive 4 points and an addition to the NRR.
- There will be no point for the losing side, but for a no-result, both participating teams will receive 2 points.
- There will be an additional point for a win when the run rate difference is 1.25 greater than the opposing team.
SA20 2025-26 Format
SA20 follows the same format as the IPL, with all teams in the same group. Within the same group, each team will play matches in a double-round-robin format, facing other teams twice, once on home ground. The group stage will conclude after 30 games, with the top 4 teams qualifying for the knockout stage, while the last 2 will end their campaigns.
In the knockout stage, the top 2 have an advantage, as they will directly enter the final by winning Qualifier 1.
- Qualifier 1: 1st vs 2nd placed team on 21 January; the winner will advance to the Final.
- Eliminator: 3rd vs 4th placed team on 22 January; winner will advance to Qualifier 2.
- Qualifier 2: Loser of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Eliminator on 23 January; the winner will qualify for the final.
- Final: Winner of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Qualifier 2 on 25 January.
