Rahul retired hurt when he was batting on 74 runs and walked out of the ground with the physio. Devdutt Padikkal, who got an India call-up for the West Indies series, came out to bat next. Todd Murphy dismissed Padikkal for five runs off eight deliveries. At the end of the day, India A were on 169 runs for the loss of two wickets. Sudharsan was unbeaten on 44 runs off 84 deliveries, while Manav Suthar, who came as the nightwatchman, was on 1 run off eight deliveries.

On the fourth day, Manav faced 21 more deliveries and scored four runs before Murphy struck again. After Manav’s dismissal, Rahul walked back in to bat with Sudharsan. Both batters have scored a half-century, and India A is in the driving seat.
