The South Africa A’s tour of India started on October 30 with the first unofficial Test match. This series also marks the return of Rishabh Pant, who is leading the India A side. Pant sustained a foot injury during India’s tour of England and missed the series against the West Indies.

Rishabh Pant will likely make a return to India’s squad for the series against South Africa. He is the vice-captain of the Indian Test side. In the first unofficial Test, India A won the toss and elected to bowl. Sai Sudharsan and Devdutt Padikkal, who played the last Test series against the West Indies, have found a place in India A’s playing 11.

18-year-old Ayush Mhatre is one of the batters in the playing 11. This is the first time Ayush is playing for India A. Rajat Patidar and Ayush Badoni are the two other batters in the playing 11. Tanush Kotian and Manav Suthar are the two all-rounders in the playing 11. The bowling unit is being led by Khaleel Ahmed, Gurnoor Brar, and Anshul Kamboj.

Marques Ackerman is leading South Africa A in this game. Jordan Hermann and Lesego Senokwane are the two openers in the playing 11. Zubayr Hamza, Rubin Hermann, and Rivaldo Moonsamy are in the middle order. Hamza is the most experienced player in the batting lineup.
