ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 is scheduled to start on Friday, November 14, in Doha, Qatar. The tournament, previously known as the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup, is organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). A total of eight teams will participate in the tournament this year.
The A team from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh will compete in the tournament. The other three teams have qualified here through the 2024 ACC Men’s Premier Cup. The United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Hong Kong finished in the top three places in the tournament and have qualified for the ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025.
These eight teams are divided into two groups containing four teams each. Group A has Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka A. India A, Oman, Pakistan A, and the United Arab Emirates are in Group B. Each team will face the other three teams in their group once, and the top two teams will qualify for the semi-final. The final will be played on Sunday, November 23.
ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025: Series Details
The ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup started in 2013 and was hosted by Singapore. It was an eight-team tournament, and India Under-23 won the final after defeating Pakistan Under-23. Sri Lanka Under-23 won the next two editions of the tournament in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Pakistan ended up as runner-up once again in 2017, and India Under-23 were the finalists in the 2018 edition.
In 2019, the Pakistan Under-23 team won the tournament for the first time and defeated Bangladesh Under-23. In 2023, Pakistan A team participated in the competition and defeated India A in the final. Afghanistan A qualified in the final of the 2024 season and defeated Sri Lanka A by seven wickets in the final.
