CSA T20 Challenge 2025 is the 22nd season of the CSA T20 Challenge. It is a domestic T20 tournament organized by Cricket South Africa (CSA). This year, the tournament will start on October 29 and will be completed on November 30. A total of eight teams participate in the tournament. Each team face the other seven teams once in the league phase.
The top four teams at the end of the league phase qualify for the knockouts. The top two teams face each other in the first qualifier, while the remaining two teams will play in the eliminator. The winner of the first qualifier will directly qualify for the final, while the loser will have another chance in the second qualifier. The other team in the second qualifier will be the winner of the eliminator. The winner of the second qualifier will play in the final.
CSA T20 Challenge 2025: Tournament Details
The CSA T20 Challenge first started during the 2003-04 season. The Lions defeated the Titans in the final of the last season by eight wickets. They chased down the target of 120 runs in 15.1 overs. Lutho Sipamla and Connor Esterhuizen won the Player of the Match awards. Sipamla took four wickets for 12 runs, while Esterhuizen remained unbeaten on 48 runs off 36 deliveries.
It was the sixth time the Lions won the tournament and equalled the record of the Titans. Both teams have now won the trophy on six ocassions. The Dolphins have won the tournament twice, while the Warriors and Boland have won on one occasion each.
