The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final 2025 is the qualifying tournament for the T20 World Cup 2026. The tournament will start on September 26 and will end on October 4. A total of eight teams will take part in the competition. These teams have been divided into two groups. The eight teams participating in the tournament are Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
Group A contains Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, and Malawi, while Botswana, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe are part of Group B. Each team will face the other three teams in their group once. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, while the remaining two teams will advance to the playoffs.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final 2025: Tournament Details
Namibia and Uganda received a bye after participating in the last edition of the T20 World Cup. The remaining six teams qualified through the Africa Qualifier A, B, and C. Malawi and Tanzania were a part of the Qualifier A, Kenya and Zimbabwe made it through the Qualifier B, and Botswana and Nigeria were a part of the Qualifier C.
The two finalists from this tournament will qualify for the T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Namibia won the previous edition of the Africa Regional Final, while Uganda finished as the runner-up.
