This tournament gives them a chance to play official international matches. It helps them get better at cricket. It also helps more countries around the world play women’s cricket.

ICC Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy 2025 Tournament Format & Structure

This section explains how the tournament works and how teams will compete.

Match Format

All matches will be played in T20 International format. The matches follow official ICC rules for T20I cricket. 

The tournament uses a round-robin format. In round-robin, each team plays against all other teams one time. 

With eight teams, each team will play seven matches. In total, there will be 28 matches in the tournament. 

The matches will be played at two cricket grounds in Bangkok: Terdthai Cricket Ground and Asian Institute of Technology Ground.

Points System

Teams earn points based on their match results. Here is how the points work:

This is the standard ICC points system used in most T20 tournaments.

Winning & Standings

The team with the most points at the end of all matches will be the champion. If two or more teams have the same points, the Net Run Rate (NRR) will decide the winner. 

Net Run Rate is a calculation that shows how fast a team scores runs compared to how fast they give away runs. The team with the better NRR will rank higher. 

Since the tournament has not started yet, we will see the final standings table after all matches are completed on November 30.
