The third day of the play came to an abrupt end due to bad light in the ongoing Irani Cup 2025. At the end of the third day, Vidarbha was batting on 96 runs for the loss of two wickets and Dhruv Shorey (24 runs off 60 deliveries) and Danish Malewar (16 runs off 37 deliveries) were in the middle. Manav Suthar and Gurnoor Brar took one wicket each for the Rest of India.

Atharva Taide was the first to get dismissed for Vidarbha and made 15 runs off 43 deliveries. Aman Mokhade, the other opener, scored 37 runs off 76 deliveries before getting out in the 24th over. Taide had made a century in the first innings for Vidarbha.

Vidarbha was bundled out for 342 runs in the first innings at the end of the second day. Abhimanyu Easwaran and Aryan Juyal opened the innings for the Rest of India on the third day. The duo added 52 runs for the first wicket before Juyal was dismissed for 23 runs off 63 deliveries. Yash Dhull was the next to depart and made 11 runs.

Vidarbha Earned A First Innings Lead

Easwaran hit a boundary off the first delivery of the 35th over to reach his half-century. However, he couldn’t do much after reaching the mark and was dismissed on the fourth delivery of the innings. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, and Manav Suthar were dismissed for single-digit scores, and suddenly, the Rest of India were on 142 runs for the loss of six wickets.

Skipper Rajat Patidar played a lone battle while wickets were falling on the other end. Patidar was the second-last batter to get dismissed and scored 66 runs. At the time of his dismissal, the Rest of India had 191 runs on the board and were way behind Vidarbha’s total.

Gurnoor Brar was the last to depart, and the Rest of India was bundled out for 214 runs in 69.5 overs. Yash Thakur was the pick of the bowlers for Vidarbha and took four wickets for 66 runs. Harsh Dubey and Parth Rekhade took two wickets each, while Aditya Thakare and Darshan Nalkande picked up one wicket each. Vidarbha had a first innings lead of 128 runs.
