JioStar’s IPL 2026 rate card shows a clear push toward premium digital inventory, with connected TV at the centre of the strategy. Released well ahead of the tournament, the card keeps television pricing close to last season but raises the bar sharply for CTV advertisers.
The biggest change sits in base pricing. The CPM for a 10-second CTV ad has increased to 600, up from 480 last year. This marks a 25 percent jump and signals stronger confidence in large-screen digital viewership. Along with higher pricing, JioStar has brought more structure to how live CTV inventory is sold.
Two buying routes now exist for live CTV. Advertisers can choose “in a block” or pay extra for “any match selection.” The earlier standalone CTV Live spot rate does not appear in the 2026 card, indicating a shift away from simpler spot buying on connected TV.
Block vs Any Match Selection
Match choice has become a priced decision. The “in a block” option works as the standard route, while “any match selection” carries a clear premium. The gap between the two options is close to 50 percent across live midroll and preroll CPMs.

JioStar has also tightened control on inventory use. The terms include limits on impression share and eligibility rules for select placements. High-demand matches, such as opening games and playoffs, are subject to stricter conditions in match selection.
Live Spot Buying Shifts To CTL And PPL
In 2025, advertisers could buy CTV spots directly, along with CTL and PPL. For IPL 2026, most spot buying on CTV now runs through CTL and PPL, while other live inventory follows CPM models.
Premium pods see a sharp reset. CTL-2 costs Rs 21,35,000 for a 10-second spot. CTL-1, 3, and 4 come in at Rs 12,95,000. Premium CTL positions cost 25 percent more and require large match commitments.
HH Rates Stay Steady
Handheld rates remain mostly unchanged for live and VOD. JioStar also highlights paid hyper-personalised targeting. Impact formats include squeeze-ups priced at Rs 2,50,000 on mobile and Rs 4,50,000 on CTV per exposure.
