Yuvraj Singh was the first batter to hit six sixes in an over in T20Is, and he achieved this feat during the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007. The record for scoring most runs off an over in T20I remained with him until last year, when Darius Visser of Samoa accumulated 39 runs from one over.

Apart from Yuvraj, there have been four other batters who have hit six sixes in an over. Manan Bashir of Bulgaria is the latest entrant on this list, and he achieved this against Gibraltar in 2025.
Dipendra Singh Airee is the only batter who has hit six sixes off six consecutive balls in T20Is twice. He did this for the first time in the Asian Games 2023 against Mongolia. During the 19th over of the game, he hit five sixes of the last five deliveries off Mongolia’s bowler Mungun Altankhuyag. In the 20th over, he got on the strike off the second delivery and hit a six to complete six sixes off six consecutive deliveries that he faced. Airee took just nine deliveries to hit the fastest half-century in T20Is.

In the same game, Nepal became the first team to go past the 300-run mark in T20Is. Nepal defeated Mongolia by 273 runs, which was a record at that time.

1. Darius Visser (39) vs Nalin Nipiko
Darius Visser made his T20I debut for Samoa during the T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Region Qualifier A in 2024. In the fifth match of the tournament, Samoa faced Vanuatu and elected to bat. Samoa lost their first two wickets for just four runs, and Visser was in the crease in the second over. The team scored just 52 runs for the loss of four wickets by the end of the 10th over.

Visser changed the course of the match during the 15th over, which was bowled by Nalin Nipiko. The first three deliveries went for a six. The fourth delivery was a no-ball, and a six came off the free-hit delivery. The fifth ball was a dot, and 25 runs had already come from the over. Nipiko’s sixth delivery was a no-ball, which meant he had to bowl again. He bowled another no-ball and was smacked for a six. Visser hit a six off the last delivery of the innings and collected the most runs off an over in T20Is. He finished his innings with 132 runs off 62 deliveries, including 14 sixes and five boundaries.
2. Yuvraj Singh (36) vs Stuart Broad
T20I cricket was just 40 matches old when Yuvraj Singh recorded six sixes in an over against England during the 2007 World Cup. It was the 21st match of the league, and India elected to bat after winning the toss. Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir added 136 runs for the first wicket. Yuvraj Singh came out to bat when India had lost three wickets for 155 runs in the 17th over.

Yuvraj made 14 runs off the first six balls, and then came the 19th over, bowled by Stuart Broad. Yuvraj hit him all over the park and became the first batter to hit six sixes in an over in T20Is. He took 12 deliveries to reach his half-century, which was a record at that time.
3. Kieron Pollard (36) vs Akila Dananjaya
In March 2021, Sri Lanka travelled to the West Indies to play a three-match T20I series. In the first match, the West Indies elected to bowl after winning the toss. Sri Lanka scored 131 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Akila Dananjaya came to bowl the fourth over of the innings and was hit for a four off the first delivery. He dismissed three batters off the next three deliveries and thus completed a hat-trick. Dananjaya became the third Sri Lankan bowler to take a hat-trick in T20Is.

Wanindu Hasaranga dismissed Lendl Simmons in the next over for 26 runs. From 48 for zero in three overs, the West Indies had suddenly lost four wickets for 62 runs at the end of the fifth over. Dananjaya came to bowl the seventh over, and Kieron Pollard smashed him for six sixes. He took a hat-trick and conceded six sixes in an over in a single game. The West Indies took 13.1 overs to reach the target of 132 runs and won the match by four wickets.
4. Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh (36) vs Karim Janat
In January 2024, Afghanistan came to India to play a three-match T20I series. India won the first two matches, and the two teams travelled to Bengaluru to play the last match of the series. India elected to bat after winning the toss.
Rohit Sharma, who was dismissed for a duck in the first two matches, bounced back with a hundred in this game. India had a jittery start and lost four wickets for just 22 runs even before the fifth over was completed. Rinku Singh joined Rohit in the middle. Both the batters hit a six each in the 8th over to start the show for the Indian team. By the end of the 19th over, India had 176 runs on the board and both Rinku and Rohit in the middle.

Karim Janat came to bowl the last over of the innings and was hit for a four on the very first delivery. Rohit dispatched the next delivery for a six, which was a no-ball. He hit another six off the free-hit and collected a total of 17 runs off the first two legitimate deliveries. He took a single off the third delivery and gave the strike to Rinku. He hit three consecutive sixes to finish India’s innings on 212 runs. The two batters collected 36 runs from the over. The match went down the wire, and Afghanistan managed to level the score. The first super over ended in a tie, which meant for the first time in T20 International history, a tie match’s result was decided through two super overs. India won the second super over and the series by 3-0.
5. Dipendra Singh Airee (36) vs Kamran Khan
During the 7th match of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2024, Dipendra Airee became the third batter in T20I history to hit six sixes in an over. He had already hit six sixes off six consecutive deliveries previously. But this time, all six hits came in a single over.

The match was played on April 13 against Qatar in the UAE. Airee’s heroics came in the last over of Nepal’s innings, bowled by Kamran Khan. Airee finished with 64 runs off 21 deliveries to his name, and Nepal posted a total of 210 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
6. Nicholas Pooran (36) vs Azmatullah Omarzai
Nicholas Pooran was in the best of his form in T20s in 2024. He was the only batter who scored over 2000 runs in T20s in 2024. He made 2331 runs in 76 matches at an average of 40.89. No batter has made more runs in a single year in the shortest format than him. One of his best in 2024 came against Afghanistan during the 2024 T20 World Cup.

The West Indies lost their first wicket in the second over and Pooran walked in. The fourth over of the West Indies’ innings was bowled by Azmatullah Omarzai. Pooran hit him for a six off the first delivery and hit a four off the next one, which was a no-ball. The next delivery went over the wicketkeeper for a four and was given a wide. Azmatullah bowled a perfect yorker next, and Pooran missed scoring a run. The third delivery of the over was a leg bye and went for four. A boundary came off the fourth deliver,y and Pooran hit a six off the last two deliveries each. He was dismissed for 98 runs off 53 deliveries, and the West Indies posted a total of 218 runs for the loss of five wickets. Afghanistan were bundled out for 114 runs and lost the match by 104 runs.
7. Manan Bashir (36) vs Kabir Mirpuri
Bulgaria faced Gibraltar in the final of the Bulgaria Tri-Nation 2025. Gibraltar batted first and made 194 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Prakash Mishra was the pick of the bowlers for Gibraltar and took four wickets for 34 runs in four overs.

Bulgaria had a strong start to their chase, and the openers, Hristo Lakov and Isa Zaroo, added 125 runs for the first wicket. They lost the second wicket for 156 runs in the 15th over. Kabir Mirpuri came to bowl the 16th over, and Bulgaria required 37 runs off the last five overs. Manan Bashir hit six sixes off the over and took the team close to the target. He became the fifth batter to hit six sixes in an over in T20Is.
8. Ali Raza (35) vs Vasu Saini
Belgium faced Romania in the third-place play-off of the Continental Cup on June 29, 2025. The match was reduced to eight overs per-side. Omid Rahimi and Ali Raza opened the innings for Belgium. Vasu Saini bowled the fifth over of the innings.

Raza hit a four off the first delivery and the next one was a wide. A similar thing happened on the next two deliveries. Raza hit a six off the third delivery and the next delivery was a wide. Raza hit three consecutive sixes off the next three deliveries. He collected a total of 35 runs from the over.
9. Tim Seifert and Ross Taylor (34) vs Shivam Dube
In February 2020, India traveled to New Zealand to play a five-match T20I series. India won the first four matches, and the fifth match was played at the Mount Maunganui. India made 163 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs with the help of a half-century from Rohit Sharma.

New Zealand lost their first three wickets for just 17 runs and Tim Seifert and Ross Taylor joined hands. Shivam Dube came to bowl the ninth over and Seifert hit a six off his first two deliveries and a four off the third delivery. Seifert took a single off the fourth ball and gave the strike to Taylor. The fifth delivery off the over was a no-ball, and Taylor hit a four off the same. Taylor hit a six off the free-hit and finished the over with a six. New Zealand lost their last six wickets for just 25 runs and lost the match by seven runs.
10. Ryan Burl (34) vs Nasum Ahmed
In 2022, Bangladesh toured Zimbabwe to play a three-match series. Both teams won one game each from the first two, and the series was evenly poised. In the third T20I, Zimbabwe elected to bat after winning the toss. Zimbabwe lost their first six wickets for just 67 runs. Ryan Burl and Luke Jongwe were there in the middle.

Hasan Mahmud came to bowl the 15th over, and Burl hit a six off the first four deliveries each. The fifth delivery was a four, and the over got concluded with a six. Burl helped Zimbabwe reach a total of 156 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Bangladesh made 146 runs for the loss of eight wickets and lost the match by 10 runs.
