Indian selectors recognized the IPL performance of Nitish and gave him a chance in the ongoing India vs Bangladesh T20 series

In the first T20 against Bangladesh, Nitish scored an unbeaten 16 runs and helped India secure the first win with ease.

In the 2nd T20, he took charge and scored a quick 74 runs in just 34 balls. India had already lost 3 wickets at 41, but his 108-run partnership with Rinku Singh helped India regain control. End of the day, India won the match by 86 runs, and Nitish got his first MOM title in just 2 innings. 

Also, he became the 4th youngest Indian cricket player to score a maiden 50 in the T20I. This shows a promising career ahead, with senior players like Surya and Hardik guiding him in the future.
