On day 2 of the third Test at Queen’s Park Oval, New Zealand continued their dominant batting display but found it hard to maintain the momentum set by Devon Conway and captain Tom Latham on the opening day. Despite Kemar Roach’s absence due to a hamstring injury, the West Indies pacers bowled disciplined lines and corrected many of their errors from day one, yet they were unable to contain the Kiwi scoring spree. New Zealand eventually declared their first innings at a commanding 575/8.

Conway notched his second double century in Tests, scoring 227 runs, while Rachin Ravindra contributed a fluent 72. Kane Williamson and Tom Latham added valuable runs before getting out, and Ajaz Patel showcased some late fireworks before the declaration. The West Indies openers responded positively, getting off to a quick start with a 100-run partnership in the 19th over and ending the day for 110 without loss.

Meanwhile, Devon Conway continued in the same rich form, reaching his second double century in Tests with a classy boundary. Conway and Kane Williamson put together a 50-run partnership for the second wicket before Williamson fell for 31(60), edging a shot at cover to the keeper off a bowling change from Justin Greaves. By lunch, New Zealand were 424/3, still firmly in command.

After lunch, West Indies pacers continued to trouble the batters, with Justin Greaves claiming Conway lbw for 227(367), and captain Roston Chase trapping Daryl Mitchell caught behind for 11(30). Seales struck again, taking a vital wicket of Tom Blundell for 4(14), who had been dropped earlier. Rachin Ravindra and Glenn Phillips then steadied the innings, sharing a 50-run partnership post‑tea.

After the tea break, Ravindra scored a 50 and Phillips scored 29(49) before being trapped by Anderson. Then Anderson also dismissed Foulks for 15 with a timber. Ajaz Patel and Ravindra added some late fireworks before Latham declared New Zealand’s innings at a massive 575/8.
