PSL Match 30: LQ vs PZ Preview

This is the last league stage game of PSL 2022 between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar. Both teams have already qualified for the play-offs. 

Lahore Qalandars have been outstanding in the tournament till now. They are in 2nd position on the points table with 6 wins and 3 defeats in 9 games. They’ve won 3 out of their last 5 games and will look to win this game and go into the play-offs with a win. Fakhar Zaman is their best batter and has been in terrific form. Other than Zaman their top order has struggled a little but they’ve got Harry Brook in the middle-order who has been exceptional with the bat. They got a big blow before the play-offs as Rashid Khan has left for International duty. But despite that, their bowling unit is one of the best with the likes of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Zamaan Khan. They will be the favorites to win this game. 

Peshawar Zalmi too are in good rhythm after struggling in a few matches. They are at the 3rd position with 5 wins and 4 defeats in 9 matches. Zalmi have won their last three games and will be eyeing a win in this game as well. Mohammad Haris and Shoaib Malik are the pillars of their batting as they’ve scored the majority of the runs in the last few games. Hazratullah Zazai has struggled after doing well initially and will look to get back in form in this game. Liam Livingotne is yet to fire but he is a quality player and a very important part of this Zalmi side. Salman Irshad and Wahab Riaz are the main bowlers for their side while Usman Qadir is the lead spinner. Others have assisted them quite well. Peshawar’s middle-order needs to get back in form and this game is a great chance for them to do so.
