Qalandars made a total of 200/6, with captain Shaheen Afridi playing a pivotal role by scoring 44 off 15 balls and later taking 4 wickets for 51 runs, earning him the Player of the Match award.
The Sultans managed 199/8 in their 20 overs, falling just short of the target. This victory made Lahore Qalandars the first team in PSL history to successfully defend their title.
The 2023 PSL season was marked by intense competition, with six teams competing in a double round-robin format. Multan Sultans’ Ihsanullah was named Player of the Series for his outstanding performance, taking 22 wickets throughout the tournament.

9. Islamabad United (2024)
In the 2024 PSL final held on March 18 at Karachi’s National Stadium, Islamabad United faced Multan Sultans. Batting first, Multan Sultans posted a total of 159/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Islamabad United reached the target, scoring 163/8 in 20 overs and securing a two-wicket victory.
