How Does Ranji Trophy Elite 2025-26 Points Table Work 

Here is the simple breakdown of the Ranji Trophy Elite 2025-26 points table works.

  • The winning team will receive 6 points for each win.
  • A win by an innings or by 10 wickets earns a bonus point, bringing the total to 7 points.
  • If a team gains a first-innings lead but doesn’t win the match, the team will receive 3 points.
  • A draw where the team has the first-innings lead will grant 1 point.
  • A no-result or abandoned match will award 1 point to each side.
  • A loss or a draw without a first-innings will get no points. 

Format of Ranji Trophy Elite 2025-26

In the Elite Group, 32 teams are divided into four groups of eight teams each. Each team will play each other in its group once during the league stage. The top two teams from each Elite group advance to the quarter-finals, bringing the total to eight teams competing in the knockout phase.

In the quarterfinals, each winning team will play in the semifinals. The semi-finals will start on February 15, with the winners facing the final battle to become the champion of this tournament.
