Smriti Mandhana was born on July 18, 1996, in Bombay (now Mumbai). She is the current vice-captain of the Indian Women’s Team. Her Test debut happened in August 2014 against England before she made her ODI and T20I debut. She made her T20I and ODI debut in April 2013.

She has scored 4501 runs in ODIs in 103 matches at an average of 46.40 and a strike rate of 87.92. In T20Is, Smriti has amassed 3982 runs at a strike rate of 123.97. She has played seven Test matches for India and has made 629 runs and hit two centuries.

In 2024, Smriti scored 763 runs in 23 T20I matches at an average of 42.38 and scored eight centuries. No other batter has scored more runs in T20Is in a calendar year than her. No other batter has scored more half-centuries in a calendar year than her.
