How Does Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 Points Table Work
In the Ranji Trophy points table, teams will earn points based on match outcomes, whereas standings are determined by total points, with Net Run Rate (NRR) as the tie-breaker.
- For a win, each team will receive 4 points.
- There will be no point if the team loses the match.
- For a draw, a tie, and a no-result, both participating teams will get 2-2 points each.
There will be no additional points for any team.
Format of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26
In the Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite, each team will play 7 matches during the league phase, facing off against the other 7 teams in their group once.
After the league stage, the top 2 teams from each group will advance to the knockout rounds. There are 4 Quarter-Finals featuring the leading 8 teams from the groups. Winners then proceed to 2 Semi-Finals, with the victors of those clashes meeting in 1 grand Final to crown the champion.
In contrast, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Plate, each team will play 5 matches in the league phase in a round-robin format. After the group stage, the top 2 teams from the single Plate group advance directly to the Final.
