The Indian cricket team in England has sustained a blow as two players have been ruled out of the squad for the upcoming fourth Test. It was reported heavily that Nitish Kumar Reddy and Arshdeep Singh might not feature in the playing 11 in the upcoming Test match.

The BCCI has now released a statement confirming the same. The updated squad for the fourth Test contains two omissions and one addition. “All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remaining two Tests owing to a left knee injury. Nitish will fly back home and the team wishes him a speedy recovery,” BCCI said in a statement.
Apart from Reddy, Arshdeep is another player who has been ruled out of the upcoming Test match. He received stitches on his left arm while trying to stop a shot from Sai Sudharsan in the nets.
“Arshdeep Singh has been ruled out of the fourth Test against England at Manchester. He sustained an impact injury to his left thumb while bowling in the nets at a training session in Beckenham. The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring his progress,” the BCCI mentioned in the press release.
Anshul Kamboj Has Been Added to the Indian Squad For the Fourth Test
“The Men’s Selection Committee has added Anshul Kamboj to the squad. Kamboj has joined the team in Manchester,” BCCI confirmed in the release.

The fourth Test between India and England will be played on Wednesday, July 23, at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester. England has earned a lead in the five-match series after winning the third Test match at Lord’s by 22 runs. India has faced England on nine occasions in Manchester, out of which England has won four games, while the remaining five games have ended in a draw. India last faced England at this venue back in 2014 and lost the match by an innings and 54 runs.
