After the successful inauguration season of the Women’s Delhi Premier League, the second season is almost here. The tournament will again feature the same four teams this season. 

Although it won’t be as large as the Men’s DPL, four women’s teams will participate in it. Matches will start from August 17 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

WDPL 2025 – Complete Schedule

Here’s the complete match schedule for the 2025 season of the Women’s Delhi Premier League (WDPL). All matches will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, with double-headers scheduled almost every day.

All teams will face each other twice in a round-robin format. There will be no playoff games as the top 2 teams from the group stage will advance to the final.

Auction Highlights of WDPL 2025

Here are the auction details of WDPL 2025: 

Central Delhi Queens

Central Delhi Queens focused on experience and strength in the auction. They kept Deeksha Sharma as their key player and spent ₹10 lakh to bring in seasoned all-rounder Monika. The team also used the Right to Match (RTM) card to bring back spinner Parunika Sisodia, who performed well in the 2024 season.

South Delhi Superstarz

South Delhi Superstarz made wise choices during the auction. They retained top-order batter Shweta Sehrawat and added two promising youngsters, Tanisha Singh and Ekta Bhadana.

North Delhi Strikers

North Delhi Strikers continued to back their captain, Upasana Yada,v by retaining her before the auction. They also brought back bowler Nazma using the RTM card after a brutal bidding war with other teams.

East Delhi Riders

East Delhi Riders built a strong team by retaining Indian batter Priya Punia. They also added young talents like Purva Siwach and left-arm pacer Pragya Rawat to make their squad more balanced for the 2025 season.

The final of the Women’s Delhi Premier League (WDPL) was between 2 strong teams, North Delhi Strikers Women and South Delhi Superstarz Women. North Delhi Strikers won the inaugural edition by just 10 runs. 

Batting first, North Delhi scored 179/3 with a century from Upasana Yadav. She scored a maiden tournament century of 114* runs off 67 balls with 18 fours and 3 sixes. 

Although South Delhi fought hard, with Tanisha Singh scoring 72 runs off 40 balls, it fell short by 10 runs. Nazma was the star of North Delhi’s win with her title-defining last over. She took 2 key wickets in her final over and stopped South Delhi at 169/8.  For her record-breaking century, Upasana was awarded Player of the Match.
